HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY

Today is the day we honor the men and women who died while serving in the United States Military.  The brave men and women who sign up to serve and protect our country are saluted.  Those who made the ultimate sacrifice and gave their lives to protect our country and our way of life are honored today.

When I met my husband, Jerry, back in 2001 he was on active duty in the U. S. Army.  I did not know what an honor and a sacrifice it was to be part of the military until 9/11 when our country was attacked with hijacked planes that were flown into the twin towers in New York and the Pentagon.  I knew our life in Santa Clara, California was about to change as well as the lives of all military personnel.

In 2003 we were sent to Fort Hood, Texas where my husband took command of a Chinook Helicopter unit.  Fort Hood was filled with all the equipment, helicopters, tanks, artillery and the Soldiers that were headed to war.  In that moment I realized what a sacrifice these brave men and women made to protect our country and our way of life.

We are proud of all the men and women that serve in the military and grateful to of all those who made the ultimate sacrifice of their lives to protect ours.

Have a happy MEMORIAL DAY and remember what this special day means to our country.

Love and best wishes,

Tracy Dwyer
