We are in the most joyous season of the year and Christmas is right around the corner. If you are like most people, you have planned everything out to the last detail. All your Christmas shopping is done. All you need to do for the next two weeks is sit back and relax without a care in the world.
For those who do not prepare for the holidays in advance the last-minute scramble is about to begin. This is the time to start deep breathing techniques, which I discuss in my books, and center yourself. Getting stressed out is not going to help you get anything done sooner. Stress is not good for your mind or your body. Take a ninety-second deep breathing break and find the calm within.
Make a list of all the things that you need to do and put a timeline next to each one. Do them in the order that makes the most sense. Gifts that need to be shipped can be purchased first. Gifts for people you are going to see in person come next. Order your holiday meal essentials and have them ready to be picked up before the big day. Making holiday breads and treats are always welcome as gifts or desserts.
During this wonderful time of the year make sure to get some exercise every day. Exercise relieves stress and produces those feel-good endorphins which makes everything and everyone easier to deal with.
Have a wonderful holiday and enjoy time with family and friends.
Love and best wishes,
Tracy Dwyerk
