BOOST YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM

There are many things that you can do to stay healthy throughout your lifetime.  Exercise daily to keep your muscles strong and improve circulation, maintain a healthy weight, drink at least eight glasses of water a day, reduce your stress, get plenty of sleep and eat foods that are high in nutrients.

Exercise is a very important part of each day, and it should be a priority in your day.  By scheduling daily exercise, it is easier to begin or continue a great habit that will enrich your life and improve your health.  Plan on spending sixty to ninety minutes on exercise each day and make it a combination of cardiovascular exercise, aerobic exercise, to strengthen your heart and lower blood pressure along with reducing your weight.  Anerobic exercises include high intensity training, plyometrics, and weightlifting to name a few.  This type of exercise is short in duration and high intensity exercises improve strength and increases endurance.

Some of the foods that boost your immune system are citrus fruits, leafy green vegetables, red bell peppers, yogurt, green tea, ginger, garlic, and turmeric.  Eating a diet that if filled with a variety of fruits and vegetables will provide you with necessary nutrients and fiber to keep your body healthy.  Teaching your children how to make good food choices and to exercise daily will keep the whole family feeling good while boosting the immune system.

Love and best wishes,

Tracy
