Spring is a great time to take action by increasing your activity inside and outside. Many people live in climates that are very cold making it difficult to exercise outside unless they are going skiing, snowboarding, or doing an activity that is done in cold climates. Other people may like to stay indoors in the winter and hibernate until spring.
This year try something that you have never tried before and challenge yourself to make changes to your routine. The routine you have been doing for more than a few months may need some adjustments. When you get to the point where you are not seeing results it is time for a change. It can be a drastic change or just a small change that keeps you from a plateau.
Early mornings are great for going to the gym and lifting weights, taking classes and vigorous cardiovascular exercise. Kick your workout into high gear by lifting heavier weights or doing drop sets by starting with a heavy set of weights, than dropping down to medium weights and end with light weights. Pick up the pace of your cardiovascular exercise by doing intervals. Start slow for two minutes then fast pace for ten minutes then back to a minute slow then back to ten minutes of fast pace. This is a great way to keep your routine fresh and increase your endurance.
In the evening take a brisk walk or a run outside to get some fresh air and let go of the stress of the day. This is a great time of year to go for a walk after dinner and take the kids to the park to play. The weather is nice, the days are longer and there are many ways to take action to exercise daily.
The most important thing to remember is to have fun and enjoy life.
Love and best wishes,
