This is the time of year when many people get stuck in their house, vehicle, or other places due to weather conditions. The most important thing is to be prepared for any situation wherever you are. By taking a few precautions you can avoid serious injury or even death.
Your home should always have gallons of bottled water, canned foods, can opener, candles, lighter, flashlights, emergency radios, chargers for phone and computer, propane for your outside grill, extra blankets, first aid kit, and emergency generator, stored in a safe place. If you get stuck at home due to severe weather you have everything you need to survive.
The car should always have a first aid kit, blankets, rain suits, warm jackets, gloves, hats, change of clothes, and whatever the kids may need. Any type of nonperishable foods and food bars can be stored in the car. Flashlights, flares, spare tire, jack, and power cords for your phone will help if you are stuck in your car for any reason.
Being prepared for any situation will keep you safe and give you peace of mind whether you are at home or on the road. It only takes a few minutes to get your emergency supplies stocked up and ready whenever you need them.
Love and best wishes,
