My favorite time of year is spring because the days are longer and the temperatures are getting warmer. Cool mornings are great for working out inside or outside to prepare for the beautiful summer days. It’s time to break out the bathing suits and shorts and hope they all fit.
If you are like me, exercise is part of your daily routine leaving little to worry about. We all have things that come up in life which make it hard or impossible to workout. Injury, illness, family matters to name a few. The secret is not to let today’s interruptions become tomorrow’s habits. Regardless of the reason, it is important to get back to an exercise routine as soon as possible.
Get ready the night before by laying out your exercise clothes, water, gear, and work clothes. This will plant a mental note in your mind. When your alarm goes off in the morning get up right away. Never hit the snooze button. By doing this every morning you will develop a routine that becomes automatic. Congratulate yourself for every accomplishment to lift your self-esteem. Exercise releases hormones that make you feel great.
This summer you can be in the best shape of your life both physically and mentally by taking great care of your body and enjoying each day.
